Sales Account Executive

Are you a Strategic Sales Rainmaker with 10+ years of Flavor and/or Ingredient sales experience in the beverage market?

We are looking for a Sales Account Executive to develop and maximize sales performance with co-packers, primarily in the Beverage Nutrition market, as well as other direct Nutrition and Beverage accounts. The optimal individual for this role must have outstanding strategic sales skills and a strong, proven track record of creative new approaches and developing new business models that result in generating net-new revenue. You must be a great communicator with outstanding qualifying and closing skills and have the ability to hunt business and leverage relationships broadly and deeply through co-packers and brand-owner accounts across the U.S.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting or exceeding sales objectives for net-new business and profit margin from the Beverage Nutrition markets through co-packers and brand-owner accounts.

  • Assuming the lead role in developing and closing business opportunities.

  • Qualifying and assessing relevant revenue targets and developing strategic plans for attaining growth and customer objectives, with accurate forecast of pipeline.

  • Leading and managing customer expectations and needs, while building and leveraging these relationships.

  • Identifying new contacts and new business opportunities, particularly in the co-packer channel to sustain and increase sales.

  • Managing expense budget to ensure appropriate ROI.

  • Maintaining high industry and competitor awareness.

  • Collaborating with Marketing to develop sales and marketing programs to capitalize on opportunities and open doors.

  • Utilizing resources across Business Units, Corporate Marketing, Research and Innovation to help support the customer’s development of new products and concepts while maintaining ROI.

  • Serving as subject-matter expert on customer trends to ensure that FONA Business Units are aware of emerging patterns.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 10+ years of successful sales or business development in flavors and/or ingredients is a must. Sales experience in the Beverage or Nutrition market (sports, weight management, meal replacement) is a plus.

  • BA/S

  • Successful track record building strong relationships across technical, procurement and marketing professionals.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Salesforce.com.
